Jodhpurs are pants specially made for horse riding. Their origin is traced the North Western city of India, Jodhpur. It is not clear whether jodhpurs were pants worn locally or designed by the British in Jodhpur. These pants are also referred to as riding breeches have become very popular since them. Jodhpurs, or Jods, are not only important for the safety of the rider, but also provide a lot of comfort. If a rider bruises easily, their thighs will get often get bruised very quickly. Jods prevent that from happening and also provide a comfortable way to deal with all the heat and sweat.
